What are the applications of gas and plasma burners?

The main advantages of plasma cutters are their ability to cut many types of metals - such as aluminium, stainless steel and cast iron. These are materials that have an increasing number of applications. In terms of accuracy, plasma usually cuts efficiently and with little slag-type material. This situation ensures the smoothness of the cut made. There is no need for preheating and, with plasma, there is no need to pre-heat the metal before cutting itself, which is a significant time-saver. Plasma cuts these types of metals much faster compared to cutting torches, and the whole process occurs in a way that generally does not cause distortion. Accurate cutting of metals of different shapes is possible with plasma. As far as safety is concerned, plasma cutters do not require the storage or handling of gases or open flames.

Main advantages of cutting torches

The torches are ideal for thicker metals. The cutting torch cuts steel up to 30 centimetres thick very efficiently. For steel thicker than 2.5cm, the cutting torch is able to cut at a higher speed compared to a plasma cutter. As a rule, the weight of the torch does not exceed 300 grams, which becomes the reason why they can be moved. There is a very wide range of torches to choose from according to the type of work planned. The smallest cost of the simplest cutting torch is more than a hundred zlotys, while the cheapest good plasma cutter is an expense of at least a thousand zlotys. Courses in our centre are always conducted under the guidance of top professionals. With us, you will prepare comprehensively for the exam, with specially developed materials and modern machines at your disposal.

Purpose of the course Information about the training
Manual training plasma cutting   Theoretical and practical preparation of students for manual plasma cutting. Discussion of the following topics:
- how a plasma torch is built,
- how to set up a plasma torch,
- other plasma cutting equipment,
- how to fire it up and extinguish it correctly,
- even material cutting and hole cutting,
- Health and safety regulations and technological conditions when working with a plasma torch.
Are you applying for a plasma cutting torch operator qualification? Then come along to our plasma cutting training course where, through practice and theory, you will acquire the desired knowledge and skills to obtain your special qualification. Theoretical classes are held either remotely or on location - the choice is yours. In addition, practical classes take place at our certified welding facilities or at your premises. After the training course, all you have to do is pass a practical and theoretical test before an examination board. If you pass, a certificate is issued in accordance with the guidelines of the Welding Institute for a period of 3 years in Polish and English.
Training for the operation of oxygen burners   Theoretical and practical preparation of students for manual oxygen cutting. Topics such as:
- gas burner construction,
- How to set up an oxy-acetylene torch,
- what gas to use for cutting,
- how to start and extinguish the burner,
- What oxygen and acetylene pressure to set for cutting,
- the correctness of the cut of the materials and the cut of the holes,
- health and safety regulations and process conditions when working with technical gases such as acetylene, propane or oxygen,
- burner firing and prevention of such a situation.
Are you applying to become a gas torch operator? Oxyfuel cutting, also known as gas cutting, is one of the more popular methods of separating metals especially low-tube and low-carbon steels. With the right training you will be able to find a well-paid job with ease. We invite you to our gas cutting training courses, where through practice and theory you will acquire the desired knowledge and skills to obtain a specialised qualification. Theoretical classes are held either remotely or on location - the choice is yours. In addition, practical classes take place in our approved welding facilities. After your training, all you have to do is pass a practical and theoretical test before an examination board. In the event of a positive result, a certificate is issued in accordance with the guidelines of the Welding Institute for a period of 3 years in Polish and English.

We look forward to hearing from you!
