Altitude training in building access 

It is designed for workers at height who use fixed ladders, stepladders, hoists, platforms, scaffolding, masts, trusses or when working on flat roofs, steep roofs, etc. You will translate your accumulated knowledge and skills into safe working at height. You will be able to assess and reduce occupational risks. You will learn how to select, as well as how to use your personal protective equipment when working in confinement, suspension or support.

  • Eliminating hazards on the job; 
  • Assessment of the workplace and means of protection; 
  • Proper selection of PPE for the dedicated workstation;

  1. How to safeguard the workplace? 
  • Work organisation;  
  • In various positions: e.g. at the edge, in suspension, in support; 
  • Principles of belaying access to the workstation; 
  • Presentation of the requirements of standard EN 363 'Personal protective equipment against falls from a height; 
  • systems: 
  • stopping the fall, 
  • equipment presentation, 
  • rescue, 
  • rope access, 
  • holding, 
  • establishing a workstation, 
  • stopping the collapse; 
  • Personal Protective Equipment; 
  • The post-accident effect of so-called 'hanging shock' in braces; 
  • Post-accident activities, procedures to minimise consequences; 
  • Rescue system - evacuation and rescue equipment complying with EN360, EN1496, EN341 and EN1496 standards. 

Additional option on request - training in rescue and auto-rescue at height. The programme is tailored to individual needs, depending on demand and the specifics of the activity.

Who should sign up for training? 

The construction access course is designed for workers who operate tools such as lifts, platforms, ladders and scaffolding. The training will also be useful for those navigating various types of structures, such as poles, masts and trusses. Workshops are held in basic and more advanced modes. Training is not only aimed at people working in demanding conditions, but also at those who want to gain additional qualifications or change jobs.  

The mountaineering course programme is thorough and consists of a variety of theoretical and practical activities. Building and rope access are important elements in height training. Of course, these courses can be conducted separately. 

Why should you be qualified to work at height? 

Because it will provide: 

  • good knowledge of working at height regulations, 
  • will introduce the risks associated with different types of occupation, 
  • examining the most common causes of accidents and ways to prevent them, 
  • to systematise knowledge of workers' rights and obligations, 
  • learning about personal protective equipment (PPE), which is the various types of equipment used to protect against health and life hazards when working at height, 
  • appropriate protective measures worthy of application and a check on their condition, 
  • knowledge and learning how to build belay points for different types of positions and all this taking into account the conditions of the site, 
  • practice how to tie solid knots for work at height, 
  • basic principles of health, safety and rescue, 
  • methods of correct belaying and the equipment used for this. 

At the end of the training, the trainee gains valuable knowledge that he or she can apply to their own work, not only to increase efficiency, but largely for greater safety and confidence in operations.
