For those who wish to find employment as a hook signalman, our ERGON Centre for Staff Improvement has prepared an attractive offer of courses preparing for work in this profession. We offer a hook tackler course which covers comprehensive knowledge and practice necessary to perform operations with the use of slings - hooks of lifting devices. The main aim of the course for the position of hooklift signaller is to provide broad knowledge of the requirements for internal transport in construction, transport, repair, assembly and other works involving the movement of loads with the use of lifting devices, including winches and hoists.

The class focuses on safe and efficient work on the job. Knowledge includes, but is not limited to, job requirements, requirements for installation, repair, movement of goods, and use of cranes with hooks in various spaces. Each training course is based on the applicable program for that position.

Each hooklifting course, aimed at obtaining a hooklifting licence, covers the following subjects at our Centre:

  • general information on the cranes used at work
  • technical inspection regulations at the workplace
  • the types of slings used and attachments when operating them
  • job duties
  • health and safety at work regulations
  • practical classes

All classes are conducted by experienced instructors with the necessary qualifications and extensive knowledge and professional practice. Our success and the satisfaction of our trainees is also due to our carefully prepared syllabuses, thanks to which we pass on our knowledge effectively. Each participant receives necessary materials which cover the issues discussed during the training.

After completing the theoretical and practical classes you are entitled to take an internal exam. We would like to remind you that the authorisations of a hooklift truck are issued on the basis of a successfully passed exam. Course participants then receive a certificate from our Centre, which confirms the completion of training on the basis of the model of the Ministry of National Education.
