Telescopic handlersTelescopic handlers - special-purpose lift trucks with variable reach are handling equipment used in many workplaces (UTB). They are used in handling and transport work and, thanks to a wide range of accessories, are universally applicable in various industries.

Employees carrying out the operation and maintenance of telescopic handlers must be certified for this purpose by the UDT (Office of Technical Inspection). A certificate confirming this can be obtained after training and passing a UDT exam.

The telescopic forklift operator and maintenance course consists of theoretical and practical courses that prepare you for working in the positions mentioned above.

Training programme - operation and maintenance of specialised lift trucks with variable reach, so-called telescopic handlers:

  • basic information and legislation on telehandlers
  • the qualifications needed to work as a telehandler operator and maintainer
  • technical inspection and types of special purpose lift trucks with variable reach
  • construction of special purpose lift trucks with variable reach - drive, jib, electrics, hydraulics, brakes, attachments
  • operation of special-purpose lift trucks with variable reach - telehandlers - operator duties
  • maintenance of special-purpose lift trucks with variable reach - telescopic handlers - maintenance duties
  • the most common telescopic handler faults
  • Health and safety at work and first aid in the operation and maintenance of specialised lift trucks with variable reach

Duration of classes: 10-35 teaching hours for telehandler operation and 38-48 teaching hours for telehandler maintenance. The class time also includes the UDT exam.
