General-purpose and special-purpose cranes, hoists and winches are material handling equipment (UTB) used in the transport of people and loads in and out of buildings.

An operator of general and/or special-purpose overhead travelling cranes, hoists and winches is a person who holds an appropriate certificate issued by the UDT (Office of Technical Inspection) entitling them to work in this position.

Classes in the operation of the above-mentioned equipment are intended to prepare the participant theoretically and practically to obtain the appropriate UDT certificate.

Training programme - operation of general and/or special purpose overhead travelling cranes, hoists and hoists:

  • the basic legislation relating to the above equipment
  • the qualifications required to operate general and/or special purpose overhead travelling cranes, hoists and winches
  • technical data and types of the abovementioned handling equipment
  • construction of general-purpose and/or special-purpose overhead travelling cranes, hoists and hoists - mechanical components, electrics, safety devices
  • duties as an operator of general and/or special purpose overhead travelling cranes, hoists and hoists operating from the working level, the cabin and remotely
  • common faults arising in the operation of the equipment in question
  • Health and safety at work and first aid on the above-mentioned handling equipment

Duration of classes: 20-40 teaching hours.

The scope of the above activities can be adapted to the individual expectations of the client.
