Hook signaller
- suspension or unhooking of a cargo object
- starting movement of the crane and the load, if necessary
- transmission of a signal to the person operating the crane
To work as a hook signaller it is necessary to have the right knowledge and skills to operate slings. In addition, knowledge of how to select the right crane attachment that is tailored to the specific load is required.
A hook signaller does not need to be certified by the UDT and does not have to pass an examination. His professional training is sufficient. In some cases training is provided, with validation of skills and knowledge by examination. It is possible to become a hook signalman if you are over 18 years of age, in good health and without any contraindications to the profession, and have the necessary training.
We invite all interested parties to familiarise themselves with our training offer as a hook signalman - upon completion of the training and passing an internal examination, our trainees receive a certificate of completion of the course which entitles them to take up this position.
