Cranes
Cranes, which are also known as cranes, are the most commonly used crane equipment in many industries. The machines range from small models that are manually driven to those with a range of more than 100 metres in all directions. You need a licence to operate cranesThe construction of the cranes consists of the column and the jib - the two most important elements on the basis of which the device can carry out its work. The column is the core of the device, which in many models is reduced to a rotating base only. On the base the boom is mounted, which may be telescopic in structure. The boom is terminated by a linkage - a lifting device for moving objects using rope or chain cables, hooks or grabs.
There are different types of cranes, including:
- self-propelled - self-propelled or truck-mounted
- port - also known as shipbuilding, which are designed to operate in port docks for loading and unloading ships. They may also take the form of floating equipment
- tower machines - are among the largest machines and are mainly used for construction work
In terms of their mobility, cranes are divided into stationary, mobile, deck, as well as self-propelled and truck-mounted.
