Mobile crane operator training

At the ERGON Personnel Improvement Centre, we offer a high-quality course to become a mobile crane operator, the programme of which is approved by the Office of Technical Inspection. This course entitles you to operate mobile cranes, stationary cranes, mobile cranes and mobile cranes. Due to the extensive use of mobile cranes, specialists in their control are currently in demand on the labour market.

What does the course look like? 

The course includes theoretical and practical classes. During the theoretical part, trainees get acquainted with the basic principles of working on this type of crane, and then consolidate the acquired knowledge during practical classes. At the end of the course, trainees take an exam before members of the UDT or TDT commission. After passing the exam, the participant receives a qualification certificate with an entry containing information on the type and category of authorisations they have obtained. The validity period of these certificates is 5 years. 

Remuneration 

The salaries of mobile crane operators can vary. The salary for this position depends on factors such as education, length of service, the size of the company where they are employed and the province.

Mobile cranes - brief characteristics 

Mobile cranes are devices commonly referred to as cranes. They are used during construction, assembly or transhipment work. They can be used to load, unload and transport heavy and bulky loads even on difficult terrains. Mobile cranes are classified according to the type of chassis on which the cranes are mounted and the type of drive used. 

Requirements for the candidate 

  • coming of age, 
  • minimum primary/high school education, 
  • a statement of health permitting participation in the training.

Possession of a category C driving licence is not mandatory, but it is useful for later work. Crane operator may then travel on public roads. 

Location of training 

ERGON Centre for Staff Improvement runs courses at training centres located in, among others, Warsaw, Katowice, Bielsko-Biała, Poznań, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, Szczecin, Lublin, Łódź and Krakow.

Questions and answers

How much does a mobile crane operator earn?

Mobile crane operator can count on an attractive salary, but this depends on several factors such as education, experience as an operator, the size of the company and the province. 

Is it necessary to have a B and C driving licence?

A category B driving licence is a prerequisite. A category C driving licence is not required, but may be useful for later work as an operator. It allows you to drive on public roads. 

Where do you organise training?

We conduct our courses in Warsaw, but also in many other locations throughout Poland. We can also organise training at the customer's premises. 

Do you run courses for other equipment under UDT and TDT?

Yes. We prepare our trainees for the operation and maintenance of, among others: forklift trucks, overhead cranes, HDS cranes, tower cranes, winches and hoists, basket and scissor lifts, warehouse stacker cranes.
