Thinking about working with fire extinguishing equipment? This is a specialised training course designed for an audience of people who plan to deal professionally with the maintenance and inspection of fire extinguishers.
As a firefighting equipment maintainer, you can:
- perform periodic inspections of firefighting equipment,
- perform maintenance on handheld firefighting equipment.
Purpose of the training
The aim of our course is to familiarise participants with the duties of a maintainer of hand-held firefighting equipment and to provide the most important information on the operation of such equipment. We also teach ways and methods of extinguishing fires depending on the type of burning material.
What knowledge you will gain after the training:
- you will learn about the construction of fire extinguishers and their types,
- you will be able to assess and classify appropriate groups of fires and select the types and amounts of handheld firefighting equipment,
- you will learn what is the difference between the inspection, maintenance and repair of handheld firefighting equipment,
- you will learn to properly inspect, maintain and repair fire extinguishers,
- you will know which fire extinguishers should be withdrawn from use,
- you will learn typical mistakes in the maintenance of fire extinguishers,
- you will practice in practice how to inspect, repair and maintain handheld firefighting equipment,
- you will learn what should be on the conservator's control and where to stick it, and where you absolutely cannot do it,
- you will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge, thanks to which you will independently and confidently carry out inspections, maintenance and repairs of handheld firefighting equipment.
We train using extinguishers from manufacturers such as Boxmet Trade and Gaz-Tech Grodków.
Completion of training
The course for the maintenance of hand-held firefighting equipment concludes with an examination and, if successfully passed, participants receive a certificate. It confirms the acquired knowledge and skills of the trainee in maintenance activities.
Conditions of participation in the training:
- at least 18 years old,
- presentation of a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to this type of work,
- minimum primary education.

- fire-fighting and occupational health and safety training (initial and recurrent),
- courses for the operator and maintenance of UDT machines, including forklifts, mobile platforms, cranes, telescopic handlers,
- the possibility of hiring a replacement machine (forklift or scissor lift),
- sale of new and second-hand equipment,
- maintenance, modernisation.
