Course topics 

Our course is divided into theoretical and practical classes. In the lectures, the construction of the lift is discussed, as well as what to do in the event of a machine breakdown or accident. We are also keen to impart the best possible knowledge related to the safe use of the platforms and to pass on knowledge of current regulations and legislation. In the practical classes, the trainees apply the knowledge they have already acquired and learn how to operate and steer spider-type mobile platforms in practice. 

Who can take part? 

Our course for the operator of spider-type mobile platforms is intended for people over the age of 18 and with a minimum of primary education. Such a person should also have no contraindications to working with this type of machinery. 

Use of platforms 

Escalators are used in a variety of industries. They are useful in warehouses, construction sites, building renovation and maintenance. They can also be found in parks or on the streets. A boom that is ideal for narrow passageways is the "spider" mobile platform. It is used in logistics centres, as well as for mounting advertisements and billboards or repairing lamp posts in urban areas.

Mobile platforms are used for working at height both indoors and outdoors. They provide safety and stability and, with remote control, can be operated from anywhere. We offer a variety of lift operator courses. So it is worth knowing the breakdown of these so that you can choose the right training for you. 

Mast platforms - have a basket on the mast, and the relatively small size of this skip allows it to work in hard-to-reach places.  

Suspended platforms - This is a rope-mounted platform, which allows this type of platform to be installed for longer periods. Its platform usually accommodates several people who are suspended a few metres or more and carry out various types of building repairs. 

Mobile lifting platforms - These types of platforms can be self-propelled, while some have undercarriages and can be mounted on a car trailer. Such platforms are divided into: 

  • self-propelled - they are located on a vehicle chassis and can easily move by themselves, e.g. by car; 
  • slow-moving - they are usually electrically driven and move by means of tracks, e.g. crawlers; 
  • mobile - this type of lift is located on a chassis that is considered to be a trailer. This makes them easy to transport, following the car, e.g. "spider" type platforms.
