The "ERGON" training centre offers comprehensive courses for operators of mobile platforms. Our team of specialists prepares the participant to pass the UDT state examination and to gain professional qualifications. We offer comprehensive preparation for the profession. 

Training programme 

The classes consist of a theoretical and a practical part. During the course, the participant will learn about the most important issues concerning mobile platforms. It is possible to conduct the theoretical part online.

The main topics covered during the course include: 

  • operator responsibilities, 
  • boom handling techniques, 
  • types and construction of mobile platforms, 
  • creation of technical documentation, 
  • safety rules when operating work platforms, 
  • emergency management. 

After the theoretical lessons, the trainee will be introduced to the practical aspects - under the guidance of our instructors, they will learn how to operate safely and learn effective manoeuvring techniques.  

For whom is the training intended? 

The course on mobile platforms is designed for anyone wishing to obtain UDT qualifications. Gaining a professional qualification definitely broadens your career path. The skills acquired are used among: 

  • advertising installation workers, 
  • construction machinery operators, 
  • electrical network maintainers, 
  • people doing a variety of work at height. 

UDT certification - validity of the certificate 

  • stationary mobile platforms - 10 years, 
  • mobile lifts - 5 years, 
  • platforms on railway vehicles - 10 years, 
  • Suspended + stationary mobile platforms - 10 years, 
  • mast + stationary mobile platforms - 10 years. 

Qualification certificate no longer valid - What should I do? 

In order to extend the validity of your mobile platform operator's certificate, you must apply for renewal no later than 3 months before the expiry date. You must also state that you have been working as an operator for at least 3 years in the last 5 years. The application can be submitted on paper or electronically to the UDT unit.

Examination for mobile platforms 

Upon completion of the training in our centre, the participant, fully prepared, can take the UDT state exam. 

The examination is conducted by the Office of Technical Inspection and consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The first stage is a written test to check knowledge of mobile platforms. After passing this part of the exam, the participant takes the second stage. The practical part consists of a test of operating skills on the manoeuvring area. 

After passing the exam after approximately 2 - 3 weeks, the UDT unit issues a qualification certificate, which is valid throughout Poland and also recognised by employers in the European Union. 

Classification of mobile platforms 

By design, platforms are divided into: 

  • masted mobile platforms (single-mast or double-mast), 
  • telescopic mobile platforms (the support structure is a telescopic mast), 
  • articulated mobile platforms (the support structure is in the form of an articulated folding mast), 
  • Suspended mobile platforms (on suspension cables), 
  • scissor-type mobile platforms (has a folding scissor mechanism which allows the platform to move vertically), 
  • mobile loading platforms (known as loading boards), 
  • telescopic-articulated mobile platforms. 

Maintenance of mobile platforms 

At our centre, we provide training, including for maintainers of various types of mobile platforms. We offer full preparation for the maintenance profession, and we welcome willing operators to expand their knowledge and skills. 

What is the price of the training and how long does it last? 

The length of the training depends on the type of platform and the skill level of the participant. Price depends on the number of participants and the training location. And learning at our centre can take place on weekdays or weekends. We set prices individually to find out please contact us with us. 

Entry requirements for the course

  • at least primary education, 
  • no medical contraindications.

How long is the mobile platform operator's qualification certificate valid?

The operator's certificate for mobile platforms is valid for five years with the possibility of renewal. 

What do I need to do to extend my mobile platform operator qualification certificate?

In order to extend your qualification certificate, you must submit an application for extension to the UDT three months before the document expires and show that you have been working as an operator for at least three years. 

Can the training take place online?

Theoretical classes on the operation of mobile platforms can take place online, while classroom classes must take place at our training centre or at the client's premises.
