flange fitterEnsuring long-lasting operation of tanks and pipelines requires care in the quality of flanged connections. The accuracy and precision of the work carried out by the fitters translates into the reliability and tightness of such connections.

Flanged joints are used to connect fittings, pipes and tubes and are used in a variety of industries, including oil refineries, the food and beverage industry, power generation and the chemical industry. When carrying out flange connection assembly work, the appropriate skills and qualifications are required. Both assembly and disassembly - require expertise.

The flanged connection is the most common choice when it comes to piping and fittings. Flanged connections have the advantage of high tightness, which does not go unnoticed in terms of operational quality and trouble-free operation of pressure systems.

Flanged joints are made by using a flat gasket that is placed between the flange planes. Proper maintenance of flanged joints must not be forgotten. It reduces the risk of leakage and increases the operating safety of the pressure equipment.

Unfortunately, the geometry of flanged connections is very complex. This indirectly contributes to various types of corrosion. Fortunately - thanks to a new anti-corrosion system (application of a special elastic coating by means of a brush) - some of these problems can be avoided and easy access to the flanges is possible during service work on the connection.

How do you become a flange fitter?

If you are interested in working as a flange fitter, you should sign up for training at the very beginning. Our Operator Training Centre will provide you with all the materials and prepare you for the UDT exam.


After passing the UDT exam, the participant receives:

  • Certificate - authorising the execution and supervision of flange connections throughout Poland and other European countries,
  • Certificate of completion of training in Polish and English

Purpose of the training

During the training, special attention is paid to rules/regulations/good practices affecting safety, work efficiency or installation accuracy. The aim of the training is to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge on the proper installation of flanged joints.
